Points are awarded for all participating 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U AAU juniors tournaments. The amount of points awarded at each event will be determined by combining our "Base Point Scale" with any approved multipliers for the event. Every event will be subject to the "Team Participation Multiplier" detailed on the website
Points are awarded to 1st through 9th place for each event. All players who finish outside of 9th place will receive 5 points for participating in the event. Points are cumulative and rankings are calculated by the sum of all points earned within the previous 365 days.

New Policy effective April 24, 2015, no credits will be issued for any missed tournaments. No transfers are allowed from one tournament to another. A request for a refund, in the form of a check or credited back to the credit card, will be issued one week after the event has passed with a $10 processing fee, if the team notifies the tournament director prior to noon, the day before the event. This will still allow for an alternative entry to take place.
No refunds will be processed if the notification takes place after noon prior to the start of the event or if the registration closes earlier, then that becomes the determination date. (National events have earlier close dates/times). The tournament director has the authority to adjust format, combine age groups or cancel a tournament, if necessary. Teams will receive a full refund or a credit towards another event, if requested due to cancellation.
WEST COAST AAU JUNIOR OLYMPIC GAMES BIDS:
Southern Pacific AAU events which earn bids start on September 12, 2020 and earn three bids for most events and four for Grand Prix, District, Regional and Super Regional events for the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games. Preliminary events earn two bids. National events earn eight bids. A minimum amount of teams are required in each division in order for bids to be awarded according to national rules and policies.
VOLLEY OC SERIES EVENTS:
Selected Orange County Volley events in Huntington Beach are AAU licensed preliminary and earn bids (two) into the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games beginning in 2018.

The IBVL of California and the Southern Pacific Volleyball Committee is hosting the ISF Girls' National Trials to determine the United States entrants to the ISF World Schools Beach Volleyball Championships in two age divisions. The U18, U16 age divisions which differ than the traditional AAU age groups (18U, 16U) with calendar year age groups with no grade waivers. AAU points will be used for seeding for these trials. In the Boys and Girls U18 and Girls U16 Divisions: teams must represent an IBVL member school from IBVL of California (in the Southern Pacific District, Northern California District or San Diego District) or a member school from the Arizona Interscholastic Association with a varsity beach volleyball program.
Teams are made up of athletes from the same institution and must be a current student-athlete at the member school. Schools may have up to three entries per division (exceptions may apply for returning champions). All athletes and coaches must have a current AAU membership card and a US passport or US permanent resident status.
In the Girls U14 Division, the trials are open to athletes who represent different schools, however athletes and coaches must be AAU members, and hold a US passport or US permanent resident status. The event is hosted by the Southern Pacific Volleyball Committee and the IBVL of California.
In the Boys U16 and U14 Division, the trials are conducted as part of the AAU Boys' National Beach Volleyball Championships. Boys U16 teams must be athletes representing the same school while Boys U14 teams can made up of student-athletes from a different schools, however athletes and coaches must be AAU members. and hold a US passport or US permanent resident status.
The trials will be held on the following dates -

Dec. 6 at the AAU Boys' Junior National Beach Volleyball Championships in Hermosa Beach (site pending) - Boys U14
Dec. 12-13 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center - Girls U18 (School)
Jan. 9- 10 - at the Orang County Great Park- Girls U14
The top three teams in each division will qualify for the WSC, in addition to one alternate team will be identified in each division. There is no additional step to advancing to the ISF Pan American Schools Championship then the World Schools Championship, this season. Please refer the ISF age groups posted on this page.
Boys U18 entrants are qualified through the Southern Pacific IBVL Playoffs Championship Scholastic Team based on past performance.
